Lungi Ngidi would be a big loss for Delhi Capitals as he won’t be able to play IPL 2024 matches due to his lower back injury. He is not expected to return to the IPL as his back injury happened recently during Betway SA 20 in the month of February. His injury is being monitored by the South African medical team.

The IPL is set to start from 22nd of March 2024 and before the matches are about to begin every team is making sure all their players are fit to play. However, Delhi capital replaced Lungi Ngidi due to his injury and, in place of Lungi, an All Rounder player, Jake Fraser-McGurk, will be playing in the TATA IPL 2024.

Lungi Ngidi is 27 years old, and he has played 14 matches and taken 25 wickets, but he is being replaced by Jake Fraser-McGurk who has played 2 one-day international matches for Australia. All eyes will be on his performance in the IPL 2024 as he is joining Delhi Capitals for the price of 50 lakhs.
